Your application and your data
Optional measurement on public recruitment pages
If you accept analytics in Cookie settings, Google Analytics measures visits to our public roles, reading progress and application-link clicks. Advertising pixels remain off here. Page paths exclude query strings, and events use fixed role and section names. The application has a separate optional measurement choice; answers, contact details and files are never included. Your application
The Detail Department uses your contact details, answers and optional files to review your application and discuss the role with you. Léon is responsible for reviewing applications.
Applications are stored privately in Google Cloud in Belgium (europe-west1). Drafts expire 7 days after the last saved change. Submitted applications expire 180 days after submission, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Expired records and files are removed by scheduled deletion, normally within 24 hours.
Your answers are reviewed by people. AI may help us organise or summarise the information, with access restricted to the hiring team. There is no automatic hiring or rejection decision.
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing leon@detail-department.com. Your application reference helps us find it. We may need to verify the request before sharing or changing information.
Saving on this device is optional. It stores a private access key in this browser, not your answers. Anyone using this browser profile could resume the application. If you clear that key, contact us to recover access after we verify your identity.
Analytics is optional and separate from applying. If enabled, it measures application steps and completion. Your contact details, answers, files and application reference are not sent to Google Analytics.
When you begin an application, Google reCAPTCHA checks the request to help prevent automated abuse. It receives browser and interaction signals for that check. This security check is separate from optional analytics; we do not send your answers or files to reCAPTCHA.
Supporting files are downloaded only by an authorised reviewer. Please do not include third-party confidential information, identification documents or information unrelated to the role.
